I am a PhD student at the Department of Mathematics, University of Oslo. My research is focused on preconditioners. Some of my academic work can be found on Google Scholar. I am very passionate about the FEniCS finite element framework. My contributions there are mostly related to the Q&A Forum, though I have also written a few patches. The code I write nowadays revolves around numerical solutions of PDEs, in particular by FEM and other Galerkin methods. Before programming mathematics I used to do a lot of Project Euler. I hate to brag but at one point in time I had solved one third of the existing problems. Then I stopped and they kept adding new problems. The ratio is much less impressive now :).

As of September 2016 I work as a research engineer at Simula Research Laboratory. Together with my colleagues we are developing fluid structure interaction code for studying blood flow in deforming arteries.
